Congratulations to our prize winner!

Congratulations to our main prize winner, Will Gaudie!

Will’s hopes were dashed when Typhoon Hagibis ruined his World Cup plans, and England v France was called off. However, we were delighted to let Will know that he had won our prize of x2 tickets to the RWC Final at Yokohama Stadium on Saturday 2nd November.

Will is a wheelchair user having been born with cerebral palsy. He doesn’t play rugby himself, but he is an avid sports fan and grew to love rugby through watching his younger brothers Sam and Joe. “You’ve never seen anyone more committed than Will. He’s always at the side of the pitch, rain, hail or shine” says his mum, Sue.

As well as rugby, Will, a proud Yorkshireman, loves cricket and football being a member of Yorkshire County Cricket Club as well as holding a Middlesbrough F.C. season ticket. His parents, Angus and Sue, run an organic dairy farm in North Yorkshire, famed for bringing clotted cream from Cornwall to the North East. Check out their story here.

Meanwhile, Will has been accompanied to Japan by Middlesbrough RFU Chairman, Philip Tilson, better known as Tilly! Together they have tried their best not to let the bad weather get their hopes down and have enjoyed embracing Japanese culture, including the must-do while in Japan, eating sushi!

His favourite player is Mark Wilson, fittingly enough, another northerner. Let’s hope Will gets a chance to meet his hero out in Japan. He wishes all the teams the very best, as they head into the knock-out stages, and particularly to England who he hopes to see live at the Final in three weeks’ time!

We hope you enjoy the experience of a lifetime Will! And thank you for supporting the Atlas Foundation by signing up to be a Front Row Club member!
